Value for Gold Knobs

When changing values assigned to gold Knobs, it's hard to know where the current value is at.
It'd be great to have something like this:

• As soon as a gold encoder is moved, its value (Or a normalized displayable version) is displayed on the 7-segment.
• Debounce that (As long as the user is changing the same rotary, keep displaying that value).
• 1s without changing that rotary - go back to whatever the 7-segment was displaying before.

• 1 Yeah, this kind of view (after 1-2 seconds the display returns to previous view) is pretty standard and good in terms of overview.
