MIDI CC input and output ranges

Would it be possible to add a the capability to change the input and output ranges for incoming CCs?

I am particular interested in inverting a range. I am using a midi knob/slider controller that has a horizontal "crossfader" slider. I'd like to use it to crossfade between two different tracks of a song. But right now it is impossible to do this, because I can only map the slider from 0 to 127 on the master volume of each track. In order for this to work, I would need to be able to invert it so that one of the tracks reacts to the incoming cc from 127 to 0, effectively creating a crossfade.

But this would also be useful for other things: for instance, if you want one knob to control a "macro" for a bunch of sounds in your song.

Could this be implemented?
