Add option to insert new notes at default values : aka "Parameter Locking" Option

2

What it is:
Parameter Locking is a per note modulation scheme where the only region affected by the parameter locking (aka modulation change) is the single note/event that the parameters have been changed. _In this case, newly added notes are inserted subject to the default values. _

What the Deluge does, is a "per note" modulation where the affected region extends to the next event/note...no matter how far along the timeline the next note is. In this case, newly added notes are inserted subject to the prior modulation changes.

Why add this option?
While i appreciate many may prefer the current method, parameter locking is an innovative, and highly useful technique for live play..allowing the creation in real time of complex and evolving melodies and grooves. .. just watch any Elektron video.

I am not advocating to change how the Deluge currently applies its current modulation scheme as many folk seem happy with it, but to enhance it by adding the ability to insert your default (audition) tone into the timeline unaffected by prior modulation, aka the audition tone with its associated set of parameters as initially setup.. whether that is external midi with cc values, internal synth, or sample....

How to add this option
One suggestion would be, in any track view to press AUDITION + LEARN to select "new notes inserted at default values" for that track. In this case the track is setup for parameter locking.

What would be affected:
Synth: All default parameters and modulation items as heard when pressing AUDITION
MIDI : all default midi CC setup using the Deluge knobs and as heard on the external synth when pressing AUDITION
Kit: All default parameters and modulation items as heard when pressing AUDITION (note that this would be perfect when/if per note modulation of start/end times is added!!!)
CV: Again, any and all Deluge setup items as heard when pressing AUDITION.

What would not be affected:
If you do not press AUDITION + LEARN... nothing is affected at all.. Deluge would operate exactly as is.
