Timestretch not dependent on note length

I would like the ability to set a sample to stretch and not have it's timestretch dependent on the note length. This would allow me to chop samples and maintain the timestretch percentage regardless of the sample length (start/end points) or the note length.
Another possible option would be to implement a more precise speed setting. Currently, it seems like the +/- integers don't allow you to timestretch a loop accurately. And other times, I like to manually stretch a non-loop sample until it fits a certain groove.

There's a post in the Questions and Feedback forum, where someone has mentioned that Rohan is going to substantially improve the time stretching algorithm in the next update.
Please please...this is one of the big reasons my Deluge keeps going back on the shelf to collect dust.
