Access ALL colours in song view

5

If you have say 4 clips in song view, the Deluge lets you change the colour for each clip, but it only lets you cycle through the first 4 colours (or however many clips you have)....well I want to be able to access all the colours from the start, so I'm having to create lots of dummy clips to be able to do that, which is obviously a PITA.

Please allow us to cycle through ALL the colours from the start.

And give us all shades too, as currently there is only one shade for each colour in song view, whereas kit view has multiple shades for each colour.

I don't understand why you need to do this? If you only have two sections why do you need more than two colours - or is it just for aesthetic reasons?

The reason all 'shades' aren't available is because it gets far too difficult and time-consuming flipping through them all when allocating to sections, plus they can get too hard to distinguish from one another.

Because I give each sound it's own kit, so that way each sound can have its own colour, and then the same colour in song/arrangement view.

But as there's only 12 colours available in song view, that means I can only have 12 sounds in a song (unless I give some sounds the same colour).

I understand what you mean but I think you want a monochrome colour per track (or per instrument) to solve your issue (as per the other thread) rather than the ability to add more colours per section.

I agree with your intention FWIW - it's exactly how I'd like to work and I find the current method of 'colour coding' leaves much to be desired. I started a discussion on this in the 'general' section...

    Interesting. I've wanted to do this for A e s t h e t i c reasons also.
Perhaps a different way to select ALL colors, instead of just the first few?
