Alternative MIDI Learn settings

Can we please get an alternative ( menu based ) way to setup midi assignments? The current MIDI learn way makes it impossible to use during a live performance, when you can't make sure that the next MIDI event on the same MIDI port as the Deluge is going to be the one you want.
Also having a menu ( and a display ) would also allow you to confirm what the MIDI assigment was in the first place...
