If anyone else here has a history with trackers the .XI instrument format was a fantastic multi-sample format for building drum kits and multi-sample instruments back in the Fast Tracker days. Due to the long history of the format, there are a ton of instruments and kits out on the net. It would be a great way to have multi-sample instrument or kit support in the Deluge.
Less likely, but perhaps equally as cool. Renoise developed a new version of the file format called .xrni.
