So what I don't get when such fully propagated parameter changes are requested: how the Deluge's feature of changing parameters runtime on clips would work then in song view? So how could you change volume, pan, delay etc. on a clip when pressing t…

Apologize. Duplicate of this thread: http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/518/master-tune

For sure +1

@amiga909 Good question. When I want to work in "DAW mode" it's annoying, you're right. But when working in "Deluge mode" I can get used to it (though still a bit annoying)
-
My understanding is that parameters that can not be automated are propagated through all clips of the same instrument while those that can have automation are unique to each clip. This is consistent as even a fix parameter value is meant to be sort …

@moosiqpipl said: @Icoustik said: About the 128 vs 50 steps, Rohan just confirmed that the parameters do indeed have 128 distinct midi values even though the Deluge deals in 50. The logic behind that is simply less numbers to scroll…

I think the Audio Clips were not implemented in its "general" meaning. This new kind of clip has been introduced mostly for looping and not as a real alternative to the Kit. The common sample recording/editing tasks should still be done in Kit.
-
1) Since samples are stored on a shared place renaming a sample file should also involve renaming references across all of the kits/synth patches as well as songs on the card. Not something that is worth to risk, I think

Ok. I think this sentence from the 2.0 change log was a bit misleading for me: MIDI CC, pitch bend, and channel aftertouch recording, sequencing and output
-
@amiga909 said: * you could try with a midi controller that sends Pitchbend messages. According to the midi implementation chart SYNTH and KIT instruments should react to Pitchbend messages but havent tried, maybe it is just for MIDI clip…

I think Deluge could have a master time signature valid for the whole song. All clips inherits it but it can be overridden on clip level. And the metronome should play accordingly - in clip view it should tick by actual clip level time signature, in…

@scttcmpbll said: I'm getting a lot of clicking when using multisample patches. No effects, no automation, OSC volume at half maximum. Pretty frustrating. Any ideas? Have you tried to adjust the attack and release value on env1?

When you’re browning presets pressings the delete doesn’t show up the requested feature in 3.0?
-
+1 I also miss the feature of temporary effects on tracks in song/arranger view a bit. SHIFT has already its own role in arranger mode however: SHIFT + press a clip on a track to make the selected clip arranger specific. But in song mode it can …

@Eddy said: @Hollex said: That would be so helpful! How do I do this in v3.0? 3.0 manual also does not make it clear for me You just need to add an audio track and then set its input to LEFT/RIGHT/STEREO (what …

Regarding the sample start/end points the settings are stored in the kick sound you assigned it to. So you can use the same sample even for multiple sounds of the same kit or in multiple kits with different start and end point settings by each. You …

My biggest complaint is that there's no spread option for unison and chorus so they are just mono Delay should have more diverse time divisions, I agree, but the free rate can be useful as a workaround for it though the result may not be so perfec…

Correction: the vertical scroll knob is used in waveform editor for changing the pitch range of audition buttons section. However pushing and turning that knob could do the trick
-
I'm not sure automating/modulation sample start and end points can be done with samples read from SD card. Even Octatrack states that such feature is unstable with its Static machine.
-
I also got similar idea but the difficulty here is how Deluge can decide the real pitch of slices as it has difficulties with auto pitch detection. Though we still could set up ranges by manually selecting the slices like we can do it by selecting d…

@Eddy said: Well done. I guess you can do it without any DAW in the Arranger mode so it would be even more pure Thanks I didn't want to use arranger mode this time to practice song mode a bit So I just recorded the output of Delug…

A suggestion: in waveform editor the vertical scroll knob is not used so this can have the suggested functionality. It should cycle through the markes in the following order: start->end->loop start (if exists)->loop end (if exists). By rot…

@realms_of_chaos Hey, it’s an excellent “first track” You can tweak the sounding further to make it fatter if you want to, of course, but I like the sounds you use, and the layering as well as the mood of the whole track. It feels that you have a m…

This is exactly in the newsletter: "all overlay orders already placed will have theirs by the time 3.0 is released."

I usually don't change unison parameters crazy. However it took me some to hunt down what happened when I got strange sound drop outs even with 2-3 "basic" tracks going on There's so minimal info available about new time stretching algorithm exc…

It's not predictable when it starts drop outs. You can play with unison parameters heavily a bit and change pitch in parallel. Last time I got drop outs just because rising the pitch and lowering the tempo a lot. Anyway do you hear differences b…

I created a test song you can check if you have time: https://www.dropbox.com/s/prxonvhywgz5a2y/timestretching_test_song.zip?dl=0 (I can't find interpolation type in the xml...) Thanks for your help.

Here's an example. I sampled this internally so the file format must be the best for Deluge. Just strecthed the sample (mode set to stretched and drew a 4 bar long note in the clip). LINEar: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kj1ip2v5bn7jrbv/stretched_lin…

Small clarification: with SINC I usually get sound drops when the unison is turned on with number of 3 or more.
