tested this idea. totally works... in song mode. if instead of mapping to record you map to the launch pad of your audio track, then, if you have record on, the midi message will trigger the audio track to start recording at its interval. if you n…

the interface here seems like it could be used for anything that needs a "curve". from custom lfo shapes to re-scaling incoming midi cc messages.
-
run a mid cable from the out to the in. put a note at the beginning of a midi clip while playing the midi press learn and record wait for the note to play and be learned delete your original note and extend your midi clip and place an event on…

@OdoSendaidokai said: I thought about that vertical Ableton/Bitwig view. One thing that isn't there anymore, you can't see the progress pointer moving from left to right please see my suggestion further back in this thread.
-
think you can do this if you run the deluge's midi out back to its in and use a midi clip to control an internal synth.
-
fun idea, maybe hold the sample row and shift then <>? I would rather see the ability to copy samples in a kit first tbh workaround? * set your kit clip length to match your longest sample. * on shorter samples either record or cro…

now you can save song templates. They teased naming midi and cv like synths for 3.1 but hopefully in the next major update.
-
you could also add a zoom funtion that blows samples up to multiple pads. then you could have different parameter settings on different pads on the same sample
-
yess midi too
-
If you have another midi ready drum machine or keyboard you could set up a "click" midi track in the deluge, then you would have a click on a different output.

@iFreilicht said: This doesn't actually work with real components. The problem is that I didn't really know how MOSFETS work, so I just bought N-channel ones because they are more common. > So, I gotta make a trip soon and get…

I think the arpeggiator and lfos should eventually have their own clip editor using the pads.

@amiga909 said: @rcz i like the idea of using the grid for sample and preset browsing. about tags, just came to my mind: writing and typing textual tags is a bit a pain. what if presets and maybe also samples could be tagged with colors…

My idea for how do do this with the pads is here. http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/1026/folder-structure-for-organizing-presets#latest

Just wanted to reiterate my song mode overhaul proposal with a little more detail and address some of the issues I see around that think it solves. In the image each different color on a row represents a clip, each row an instrument. The red…

This sounds like the tuner request. However I think it should be extended to the live pitch control for Autotune!
-
Still for it. Maybe hold down vertical scroll button and press the top or bottom audition pad?
-
Honestly I kind of like the current song view its pretty cool and innovative. I think a few tweaks and improvements could satisfy what people coming from ableton might look for. Main challenges with the current mode is keeping track of many clips…

Seems like the vocoder could be an extension of the FM engine. The idea of having samples as mod sources has been thrown around. What if you also had the audio inputs as a mod source?
-
How about the ability to modulate the speed/transpose of a clip based on tempo changes? That way you could use the tempo knob as master tune.
-
Sounds like you need to get an adaptor with and amp rating higher than the draw of the deluge + iPad. Deluge requires 500mA. I have a 1 amp adaptor and thats enough to power my huge mpk261 through usb host. You really want to buy something double yo…

Fun idea, maybe something like hold down a pad like you're making a new clip and press load?
-
@amiga909 thanks a lot for facilitating this discussion, hopefully Synthstrom see some merit in it as well. I see a few good solutions in this thread but it seems to boil down to what is default versus "extra action" behavior. My preference is to…

@amiga909 Yeah I find it really annoying. Easily one of my biggest gripes with the deluge. My suggestion like yours is that we make all parameters the same for cloned clips (DAW style) but add the ability to set constant parameter automation per …

@rcz said: @Pascal said: Tried using a sustain pedal with the deluge and it kinda worked. (Probably thanks to 2.0) I was using it plugged into the korg kross workstation (another kross user here ). First i recorded midi se…

Fun idea. 1. Right now if you press on the knob while it has pitch control in a kit it does nothing. Seems like you should just hold the knob down then as you twist the pitch changes then when you release it reverts to the original pitch. 2. …

I think you can map an ADSR to itself or to ADSR 2 to help with this.

Thanks!! maybe post this in http://forums.synthstrom.com/categories/deluge-sample-packs

@rudolphrapid said: @rcz said: Not sure but you might be able to do this if you re sample while the speaker is playing. @rcz I got the sarcasm here So you find the idea silly, right? I remember trying to resam…
