there is Downrush http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/1881/new-downrush-with-midian

@Alexis_Bryan said: Thanks Amiga, did you create the matching synth.xml file by any chance? Some are pretty aggressive, nice! What is the meaning of the numbers after the names? Thanks for trying out, Alexis. XML files: dont know, …

no shame,it is a very good feature suggestion. a learned param should cover the entire range. it is strange it seems to be only possible with the Select knob.
-
you can record negative automation values with the Select knob. when controlled by golden knobs or midi it is strictly 0-50 afaik.
-
the strange date you see is a fallback for missing time information in the files written by the Deluge - for UNIX this is when time starts, no religious implications intended ;-) i know the dev was pointed to this before and i guess he would have f…

special character limits: a '.' as the first character is not allowed. actually, i'd opt to go with letters and numbers only, as the Deluge does display only very few special chars, ':' is not one of them. i use '.' as a delimiter because it saves…

@hurphendale said: Looks kinda like an expensive etch-a-sketch etch-a-sketch, yeah maybe expensive? nah, it is cheaper than the Deluge. apparently they are already shipping https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pipes/the-ultimate-mus…

good stuff. substantial breakz damage

you can't. only adjust brightness of all LEDs. good idea but actually i won't bother coloring clips until http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/439/monochrome-single-color-for-tracks

@rudolphrapid said: 4) Better than octatrack and MPC. High quality DAC, 44.1kHz 24bit Sort of off-topic here. @Icoustik Octatrack has decent sound, I think, and technically it also runs on 44.1kHz/24bit (especially for samp…

about 2) interesting question the deluge is pretty deep and for a mpc „next scene“ there are a few options i think. * as ulja well explained, u can use sections as scenes. i found this works very good with less complex tunes. * subsongs. i …

the delay effect can be locked to the beat if you use the sync param and dont use the rate param. do you mean something like http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/502/delay-times-please-include-dotted-variants? triplet/dotted options for sync par…

Color repeat: now there are 64 colors, guess 128 colors is just not possible cause of distinguishable rgb colors. I like the mute idea but actually I'd love to see how it feels if the Deluge would not color code pitch at all. http://forums.synth…

there is a quick+dirty ruby script too https://github.com/amiga909/deluge-synthstrom-utils/blob/master/archive_unused_recordings.rb however, with collect-media the cleanup game changed for me. when i am near SD card limit, I export all songs and …

upvoted. yeah, i'd love to have that everywhere: song, arranger, synth, .. good point, rudolph, about being careful with tons of unused items in kits. it has been confirmed samples loaded in a project require some resources, even if they are unus…

Learned something new about the Deluge. I understand it like so: If you have manual step automation you need to set a region, setting a manual step automation on the first step only is interpreted as no automation, hence no CC is sent. Maybe not qui…

hmm.. unquantized resolution is 1/192 (http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/comment/5543#Comment_5543). possible the tiny missing bit is so small? i would not know Deluge quantizes note length different than note start.
-
Yeah, as duelin says. To isolate the kick from a drum pattern you have to go through every clip, section clips and white instances. So, you are not doing anything wrong. Had to do it too, I saved a subsong, went through all drum clips and muted all …

Got a reply from a Rohan, he fixed a bug in 3.03 automation can get duplicated (recorded on the target). Don't know if this has troubled you. About the first step thing: Yes, it seems you need 2 notes. Note: if you just want automation and want s…

just tried it and think there is at least 1 bug. in 3.03 and 3.0.3beta posted a report in the FB beta group.

Not sure what you mean. You have 2 consecutive midi note-on of the same pitch? Most synths perform an implicit note-off when a note-on comes along. Or do you have overlapping notes of different pitches? This should work with quantize set to OF…

@mjunker said: Also it's not possible to record constant automation. There should be an easy way to send out cc messages for a clip. Anybody else has any solution for this? What is "constant automation"? Sending the same CC value all …

“Would you mind to help me deciding it?” You help me to get ideas about my cpu problems too Ultimately only Rohan could decide 18 presets/instruments, 35 clips is quite a lot. I am hitting the sample cut problem in songs with about 15 instru…

@rudolphrapid said: I did some more investigation and here are my findings. By synths (so when the oscillators are emulated VCOs) the mute is midi mute (so after unmuting the track the sound is generated by the next node start message only). If a…

Nice question. Yeah, it happens to me too. Does bother me too. Lately I tend to add stuff to a Song until I run into CPU problems. For me the biggest problem is that long samples get cut off and I might not hear it until I cannot backtrace anymore w…

Good question. Did not know a Midi CC is sent when assigning a CC to a knob. Haven't tried yet, IMHO regarding to the manual it should not send values on assignment, only if you turn the knob after assignment. "The parameter knob is now assigned…
