Just importing MIDI files from a daw would be great. I can then play with the sound of any external instrument easily. I currently write MIDI parts in Logic then either bounce to audio and import sample or hand copy the midi notes.

@Human_Ladder I suggest you are doing it right. For live play both ways can work though. Say you make a kit with three long samples in it. Then to avoid going into the kit again (fiddly when playing live) you have to make three tracks with the same …

Well I am performing live with Deluge and am facing its audio limitations. First Step is luckily I use a Eurorack which contains a 1010Music Bitbox. Deluge drives a preset of 16 samples per song via Midi. Much better quality and easier to manage th…

FYI when I get the samples working correctly I intend to put them each into its own kit and then into 8 tracks in a song so I can play verses, intro, outro, chorus and breakdown in any order. Maybe I should try that now :-)

I am having similar issues with the Cut mode for a sample. In fact I have never got Cut, Loop and Stretch to work correctly :-( I have chopped a completed song from Logic 44.1kHz /24 bit into 16 bar loops and as the tempo is 126 the time of each lo…

oh nice choice! I went for the Arturia MB2S which provides a nice monosynth growl to counter the sweetness of the Deluge. @drmattproducer said: Thanks for the responses! I have settled on a Rev 2 8-Voice Modular as a complement to my Deluge…

No embarrassing questions here :-) The manual is like a Rubics Cube so be prepared for many undocumented features. This one is in the manual though - pg15. The grey screen is a result of extending track length: "Editing track length is achieved by…

Deleting Songs, Samples, Kits is something i really miss. Is this why I'm going crazy trying to delete dud Songs, Samples and Kits? Is it possible?

Thanks drGrov. I thought that wouldn't work but it does since it puts the new track in a new Section and hence it is mutually exclusive. Very clever! That means I can drive my CV into different modular voices via a mult and then change patterns eith…

I agree. Currently if planning long jams my 'randomness' is pre-meditated via the Song and Arranger modes. It would be nice to find a groove and slowly shift and cook it on the fly :-)
