I did two small Tempest sample packs that were included with the factory content, not sure if they still are. I can't remember which numbers they were off hand, I think they were credited to 'Red Meat Records'. One was the Tempest fairly vanilla and…

@Tenebrous said: Actually perhaps one way to do this would be to complement the existing keys to change a tracks colour, with another key to change the variation in colours. You could wind it all the way down to 0 to have them all the same. …

I'm gonna do one and one for the QWERTY layout. I've been so busy with work and other stuff recently my Deluge has, sadly, been a bit neglected. Glad some folks are finding this useful.

Yeah, this thread fizzled, despite my hard work 😂 The ability to loop/cycle AND to apply a single colour to instruments are still two of the most upvoted feature requests though so I live in hope. Free us from the psychedelic vomit!

It would be great to have a Turing-style randomizer, ie something that generates repeated random loops and can be 'locked' to a particular loop when it comes up with something you like. Similar to what @Stromer mentions above. I really like the w…

Not possible - only two channels of DAC available. This has been requested before re the headphone out for cueing etc.
-
There's a thread somewhere on this already - monochrome colour for tracks. Seems like this one was actually started a while ago but the other one has a ton of upvotes....

@amiga909 said: FYI, there is a workaround for cycle, tried it at the superbooth event and it worked quite well. if you want to loop what arranger currently plays, hit SONG. then you are in SONG view with dimmed lights. hit a LAUNCH/MUTE pad …

Morphagene uses a standard format for slice markers so this would probably be pretty useful generally. Maybe change the request title to auto-slice on .wav file markers?
-
Someone requested this a while back and I think Ian posted a workaround - it may have been the 'blank tracks' mentioned above. Sorry, I know that's a bit vague! I agree song/section view gets an awful mess very quickly. There's loads of votes fo…

Yeah, just pan them!

Agree with the above. And it's probably been said already but we need a much wider range of scales and scales that are less than seven notes. The Tempest has a really wide range of scales and pad mashing in '16 tunings' mode is really fun!

@Ian_Jorgensen said: you don't need to hold down shift, but can just hold down an audition pad and press a sound editor shortcut are two incredibly handy workflow tips that aren't currently visible enough. Ha! I never knew that either!

I posted this exact request a while back as I was unaware of what Ian says above as well. At the time the fact that pressing a pad on the grid takes you out of the editors wasn't in the manual - I don't know if it's been added but if it hasn't been …

Not the highest thing on my wishlist by any means but I agree it's fairly standard in a two oscillator architecture and would make a nice addition. Pulse or triangle wave one octave below one of the other oscs would do it.

It's happened already- this thread can be retired!

Just out of interest - can anyone name me a piece of music hardware where open source development has been of significant benefit? I know of pieces where developers have produced 'alternative firmware' (I own one of these) but the ones I can thin…

There's already a significant MLR thread here...

@blogic12 said: Check out how sectional looping is handled here. Something similar would be perfect for deluge. Yes, that looks very cool and something like that would be a great addition. Long-term though I'd prefer something that all…

There's already a thread for this!

One thing the Deluge definitely needs is more clarity (or indeed any clarity at all) in differentiating 'tracks' as they are referred to above (coming from a non-Ableton way of working I think of these as 'instruments') and 'patterns' or 'clips'. Th…

@amiga909 said: For the Ableton feel, what if: Arranger lets you set markers, you can jump to (in longest section length sync). Parts between markers can be looped. I suggested that with an example of how it might work here. For the wa…

Yup, this and the fact that there's no way to loop a section of the arrangement still have me tearing my hair out. Doesn't stop me loving the Deluge though!

1) I've had to recreate synth samples which are much, much longer (up to almost a minute per note), because thus far, I haven't seen any capabilities to define loops (for the sustain portion of the ADSR) within uploaded samples You probably …

@Chrisfreeq said: How is that less button-pressing? Shift + click for decay, shift + click for sustain. That 2x two handed operations... If the gold knob you want isn't already selected, e.g. it's on 'volume' and you want 'filter', you h…

I always use the shortcuts for this. It's generally less button-pressing to use a shortcut than use a 'secondary' function on one of the gold knobs! Different if you want to automate the parameter I know.

I've never used Ableton so have tended to glaze over a bit when reading this thread, also there seems to be several contradictory suggestions here, some of which have been covered off by the arranger view. The picture above makes things much clea…
