  • Grid View Quality of Life Updates

    Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post feedback on community features so please point me to the right place if it isn't.

    I've been using Grid Mode a ton and it's been a game changer for me, my brain just works better with this mode. I'll start by thanking anyone involved in creating, iterating, and testing this!

    After spending quite a few hours with Grid View, I wanted to suggest two quality of life updates:
    1. The ability to insert rows. Sometime I notice that my arrangement is missing something and I would like to be able to insert a row.
    2. The ability to copy/paste rows. When I want to copy rows when arranging, I currently copy each clip individually. While this works, it gets a little unwieldy as I add more tracks to the arrangement. Being able to copy a whole row would be a great QoL update.

    Either way I absolutely love Grid View and and it's now my default view.

    Thank you!

  • How to attenuate incoming midi velocity?

    @reza said:
    firmware 4.0.0 introduced midi velocity defaults, which is different than velocity default that you mentioned.

    in the menu > midi > devices > (din, usb) > velocity. change from OFF to something like 10 or 15 so velocity doesn't impact the max volume as much.

    basically what this does is override the 'master level' of a synth/kit row being modulated by velocity and sets it to the number you have set it to in the previously discussed menu.

    before changing the menu value, you can also just hit SHIFT+MASTER LEVEL then SHIFT+VELOCITY and adjust the amount from 0-50 and see where you find the right sweet spot for velocity of a given patch. if you set it to 0, velocity has no impact on volume.

    I'm not getting the results I would expect but I will do some more exploring with the settings you mentioned this weekend, thank you!
