I sort of mentioned this in another thread, but I would love it if Mutable Instruments' Clouds software were ported to the Deluge. I like the way this guy runs a random arp through it (starts around 2:58):

  • Piano style layout for entering notes (in addition to the guitar style 4ths layout)

As someone who is more familiar with piano than guitar, I also think this would be great.

A orchestral strings-type layout (5ths instead of 4ths, excluding double bass) might be good too, since the size/spacing of the pads is closer to violin than guitar (low end of the necks). I suppose more people are likely to be familiar with guitar than orchestral strings nowadays, but for those who are familiar, or for those who are equally unfamiliar with either, it could be nice. It also allows for 14 more notes compared to the guitar layout.

  • Arpeggiator additions

it's instantaneous. we're talking about sorting 3-8 notes. even an underpowered pocket operator could do it

So you can just play the pattern once, out of time, and the arp will play it? I was afraid you'd have to manually enter the direction from one note to the next or something.
