Deluge and Lightshows
My band has had a MIDI controlled light show for a decades. CV triggered strobe lights and some DMX fixtures.
I've had several different MIDI->DMX devices but they all were kind of weird/hard to work with. The DoreMIDI box is also a bit weird but definitely easier to work with. It's price, capability, size, usability relationships work out pretty well I think.
The Boomlights / this.is.NOISE LC-1X+ is another option. The benefit it has is the ability to drive an LED strip. https://thisisnoiseinc.com/pages/lc-1x
