I've come up against the exact same question recently and have whittled it down to the Dreadbox Nymphes. Great sound at an affordable price, with some money left over for a nice Chase Bliss pedal.

Would be interesting to hear what you ended up with.

The closest I can get on stock firmware (4.1) is to shift -select and turn anti clockwise to get "launch non-exclusively", but then I miss out on repeats.

I mostly have one or two long drones I want to always play, so when I launch another section, I just quickly unmute the drones while they're still flickering.
