  • Discussion with Decksaver about Deluge cover.

I contacted the people that make the decksaver covers for multiple electronic instruments and I received a prompt reply. Unfortunately they don’t plan on making a cover yet but it may be on a Kickstarter campaign if they can get at least 200 presales. I’m down for sure. Just thought if they get a flood of requests, then maybe it will get the process started.

    This was the reply.

    Hi Ryan,

Thank you for your enquiry and interest in Decksaver products.

At the moment we have no plans to produce a cover for this unit.

It might be one for our Kickstarter campaigns in the future, where 200 people need to commit for us to produce the cover.

    Kind regards,

    Decksaver Team

So go to the website if your interested and go to the contact page and make an enquiry.
    Thanks.

  • Angled Wood Cheeks

I made a set of Walnut cheeks for my Synthstrom.
I love it don’t get me wrong, it’s just hard for me to see the panel and shortcuts and fiddle with the knobs when I’m sitting at my workspace. I looked into stands but they are so bulky and unattractive not to mention expensive.
So I used the original cheeks as a template and drew out a new one on cad with a nice 20ish degree angle, I propped it up into the most comfortable position and took a few measurements.
This is just a prototype, I’m planning on adding a brace across the back.
I was thinking either another piece of Walnut about 35mm wide or an aluminum plate painted satin black and attached with rounded black hex screws. The aluminum seems to be the best choice as it will secure without worry of it splitting. Any thoughts or comments?

  • Pre-Mapping other midi controllers to the deluge

Map the controllers, save as default song.
Load default, create tracks, save as new song.
    That's my work around.

  • DIN Midi Sync problem between Deluge & Blackbox (1010music)

I recently acquired a blackbox also,
I don't think its a sync issue though, i had the same issues at first too.
I believe it has to do with the sample your triggering and its properties. Go to the sample in question and hit the info button twice, go to the launchmode and change the mode you can choose from, trigger, gate or toggle. Try the toggle mode first. Also check if the sample is in loop mode or not.
Im using a KMI QuNeo to trigger samples instead of the deluge, I have a midi channel from the deluge triggering the keyboard mode though.

    Hope that helps.

  • Two Deluges?

I jam regularly with two other musicians with deluges,
we all sync to a master clock and its amazing.
I don't know how two separate deluges would benefit one person however.
I am sure someone out there has a workflow based on this and they utilize it fully.
