Slice region transient detection
Like the PO-33 KO for example!
Also, an MPC-style sample slicing mode where tapping the pads one by one while listening to the sample sets the slice points! SO smooth!!

Mellotron Samples
Here's preset XML's ready to go. Filepath of samples must be:
SAMPLES/ Multisamples/ Sonic Bloom Mellotron Samples(If you don't have a folder called specifically Multisamples in your SAMPLES folder, create one and drop the Mellotron folder in there)

How do You RECORD the audio from your Deluge ?
@DaEmbassy said:
This is a (possibly embarrassing) beginner question. How do YOU record the audio from your Deluge for posterity / review / distribution / mastering / etc., ?
I have a Deluge, another Synth, an electric guitar, a couple of microphones, a 10-channel mixer, an MBP, a slew of Windows PCs - and I'm not interested in spinning up a software DAW (if I can help it). But there must be something better than using Voice Recorder!
So I'm asking the community how You record the audio from your Deluge.
All responses are welcome - I have plenty to learn - and I am fascinated by the differences in price point versus the quality of recording.
Cheers,
MBC
I use a Zoom H5 recorder
Very handy

Suggestion “Shift Mute” to Mute Kit Audition Pads per track for Real Time playing of Kit Sounds
Oh you mean you wanna mute the MIDI notes! Can't do that currently anyway.
But why don't u just change the midi channel and use the same pads? It's fast on the Launchpad pro, I use it too -
Deluge freezing A LOT since FW 4.0
I'm not seeing any of this at all, I have 3 Deluges all over 4.0 and I'm most definitely not seeing "5 times out of 10" failures.
As said, its hard to fix potential bugs if there's no way to replicate them.
But this is definitely something out of the ordinary. Maybe you should send Ian a mail directly, ian@synthstrom.com

Is this synth feature removed in FW 3.0 ? + off topic discussion

See what Ian said about "easy to implement".About the 128 vs 50 steps, Rohan just confirmed that the parameters do indeed have 128 distinct midi values even though the Deluge deals in 50. The logic behind that is simply less numbers to scroll through with the select knob - the gold knobs still deal in the full range.
I respect your dedication @Icoustik , but please just read your post yourself. You are talking about a professional machine. And in FW 3 there is still the serious decision to reduce 128 steps to 50 so you can't fade in e.g. noise because it bumps in because people are too lazy to scroll 128 steps? Come on. Lot people were asking for 128 steps in this forum for a long time. There are a lot of possibilities to "shift down" 128 to half like 64 what would be logic if you really need it. Or why not make it configurable, when many people asking for it.
And about midi implementation, that's quite complex as a standard midi implementation wouldn't work since the Deluge is so flexible and used differently by different people. Eventually, we'll surely get a smart solution, but it definitely isn't simple or straightforward to do.
It's not that there need to be made a midi implementation, it is already there. It is only to complete the midi definition. You can find a lot information in this forum too. As well from programmers.
Look I don't want to start an argument here. That is absolutely not my intention! And I highly respect the wonderful work of Rohan and the beautiful design of the Deluge. 🌻
I'm just asking to focus on improving important existing features the same way like on developing more great funky features. Both are good and both are important in different ways for different people.
You don't seem to understand. The gold knobs produce 128 steps, the SELECT knob with the same parameter number when on screen is 50. Get what I'm saying?
So if you use the gold knobs or an external midi knob, it IS indeed 128 steps, and you can choose whether you want to edit the parameter with the select knob, a gold knob or a midi controller.
