Yes this feature is a must have for the Deluge.
If this will be implemented, the Deluge will get the live performance tool Nr. 1.

Hi, at the moment the grouping of clips does not make sense to me in a scope of music production, because it is not possible to assign the same clip to several groups.
It is only possible by duplicating the clip which makes the song view really messy and unmanageable.
From my point of view, we should have only one colored button per group on the right side of the the deluge and it should be possible to assign multiple clips to one group button and also assign the same clips to the next group button.
Lets have a look from a real case prospective.
Lets say our finished track consists out of seven tracks:
1: Kick
2: Snare
3: HH
4:Pad
5:Lead
6:Bass
7: Arps

Now I want to create my groups and assign the tracks rto them:
Group 1 (Intro): assigned tracks:
- HH, Pad

Group 2 (Verse): assigned tracks:
- Kick, Snare, HH, Bass, Lead

Group 3 (Hook): assigned tracks:
- Kick, Snare, HH, Bass, Lead, Pad, Arps

So you see, the clips should be reusable, that improvement will clean up the song view, and open new doors
for easy live performances.

The shortcuts for assigning/deleting clips to/from groups and checking which clips are assigned to a group should
to be decided by Rohan.
