Send Start/Stop message to external synth instead of notes
It would be great if there was an option to make a specific midi track when launched send a start/stop message to an external synth, making it play its internal sequencer, instead of the deluge’s notes that are being sent.
This would be a great way to combine the Deluge’s sequencer together with any internal sequencers of external synths! I have multiple synths with sequencers, but I can’t use those sequencers together with the deluge, because there is no way to bring them in/out, other than mute/unmute the sound on a mixer, but this will kill any long release tails/reverb etc..
I think this might also be a unique feature, as I don’t know any other hardware sequencer that’s capable of doing this ![]()

funny idea. cirklon by sequentix can send them. did experiment, was fun to automate start, stop, continue. not that useful for me.
if u want to control multiple sequencers with different stop/start messages from the deluge: u cant. midi stop/start are MIDI system realtime messages, not per channel, so there is only one per midi port.
maybe u are looking for a sync box?
have seen a wicked live act using a couple of these http://mungo.com.au/syncZ.html, midipal by mutable can do this, or this one http://www.audiowerkstatt.de/en/midi-restarter-v2
