slice sample (loop) to drum track

It would be great if there was the option to take a sample (probably a loop) and automatically slice it up and put it over 8/12/16... parts of a drum track. Basically just setting the file path to each part and modifying the start/end so it ends up being aligned slices.
Advanced version:
- give the option for the automatically set end point to be either a.) start + 1 slice length or b.) end of sample or c.) set sample to loop back and play until reaching start again. For cases b/c choke on all tracks should be set to on by default
- check that slice points are at zero magnitude to avoid cracks
