Volume knob with uneven resistance

I received my Deluge this week. I'm loving it, except for the volume knob, which gets kinda stuck in the middle of its travel. Is there an easy non-warranty voiding way I can readjust or clean it?

I received my deluge last week, and it has this exact same problem. Hoping someone chimes in with a fix idea.
Same here. It does seem to be loosening up a bit.
try to mount the knob 0.5mm higher on the axle.
that fixed it with one of my gold knobs.

@dest4b Thanks for the tip! Do you know what size wrench goes in the hole to loosen the knob? None of my wrenches fit.
Also, why is there no response from Synthstrom? Is this not the right place to get customer service?
@Ian_Jorgensen @Sam
Thank you @dest4b, I tried that but I realized that it's not the knob, but the potentiometer itself.
@Ilexam: my T6 hex wrench fits perfectly.
@jipumarino Thanks. Though I'm disheartened to hear that it's the potentiometer.
They'll probably fix that if it's the pot You might as well just send them an email if you haven't already

On my few days old Deluge one of the param knobs gets stuck down when clicking it... I have contacted SS hopefully this is something that gets sorted out
@msweeney I have the exact same problem, in addition to a sticky volume knob.
@llexam - if you have hardware issues, get in touch. Through the contact form on this site is easy.
@jipumarino if you haven't already, please send us an email to determine what is going on here.
@Ian_Jorgensen Thank you, I'll use the contact form.
@alien_brain It took less than a week for mine to go from Norway to NZ and back to swap the motherboard,
so no it wouldn't take 2 months no matter where you live...

I just thought I'd say hello and add myself to the list of people with sticking encoders. I've sent a link to a video of the problem to Synthstrom so now I guess we're waiting to see what happens next. Let's hope there's a simple fix...
@Ian_Jorgensen thanks! I will email you shortly
My volume pot is a bit sticky in the middle as well...not sure it's worth sending in as I won't be constantly turning that pot, but I will probably email you guys just to check in on it.
@thejohnpepe I sprayed some Deoxit into the encoder and worked it around for several minutes, which helped enormously, but not 100%
@alien_brain Maybe it was just loosened due to my twisting and had nothing to do with the Deoxit, I don't know.
Maybe the encoder is filled with grease.
Grease filled encoders are feeling a bit "smoother" if you turn them.
And if the encoders are new it could feel a bit sticky.
Thats an idea why deoxyd was working in your case, but i never would spray deoxyd in a new symth.
i had also one or two sticky encoders in the first days.
But after some weeks of use all are running very smooth.
And maybe the 0.5mm uplift of the knob did it.

@dest4b Raising the knob made no difference at all, unfortunately. Also, the volume knob isn't new-gear-'sticky', it's got several points of differing resistance levels. I've owned alot of gear over the last 30 years, and this is definitely not normal.
Synthstrom is replacing my problem knobs free of charge. Great customer service!
Mine feels great now a week out.
Same after two weeks for me. It felt like some cludgey grease on the pot was used for lubrication. Just a little stiff from sitting. I actually like a little resistance in the feel. You can fine tune the volume easy. It still has a good feel. Not too loose.
what i said .. use it ..
