Angled Wood Cheeks
I made a set of Walnut cheeks for my Synthstrom.
I love it don’t get me wrong, it’s just hard for me to see the panel and shortcuts and fiddle with the knobs when I’m sitting at my workspace. I looked into stands but they are so bulky and unattractive not to mention expensive.
So I used the original cheeks as a template and drew out a new one on cad with a nice 20ish degree angle, I propped it up into the most comfortable position and took a few measurements.
This is just a prototype, I’m planning on adding a brace across the back.
I was thinking either another piece of Walnut about 35mm wide or an aluminum plate painted satin black and attached with rounded black hex screws. The aluminum seems to be the best choice as it will secure without worry of it splitting. Any thoughts or comments?

Looks great!
sweet.. kudos to you
Jesus, that's amazing!
Thanks. I’ve made a few changes though.
The sides are only secured by a 5mm strip of wood that is held in place by 6 small screws.
The sides were never designed to hold the Deluge up, they float and the case is held by rubber feet.
So to relieve stress and strain on the case I made a new stand with a brace along the back.
