    Hi everyone!

I'm Sébastien, an electronic music producer from France and a happy Deluge owner. Over the past months I've been building a desktop app around my Deluge, for my own needs at first, and it has grown into something I'd like to share with you: Noctiluca.

It's free and open source (GPL v3), needs no account and no network, and runs on Windows, macOS (Apple silicon) and Linux.

    What it does

    • Your SD card, under control: browse and audition samples, presets, kits and songs; find broken sample references and repair them; full health check and backups. Nothing is written to the card without showing you the plan first, and your songs are never rewritten.
    • Sound generator: synth presets and drum kits by genre (22 profiles, from Detroit techno to jungle), plus a sound editor that shows each setting the way the Deluge does.
    • Listen on your computer: sounds are rendered by a port of the firmware 1.3 signal path (oscillators, filters, FM, effects, reverb), checked against track exports from my own Deluge, so what you hear is close to what the Deluge will play.
    • Studio: compose a whole song in five steps (style, sounds, clips, structure, Deluge) and write it as a real Deluge song, or open one of yours and extend it as a new version. The original is never touched.
    • Samples: slice a loop into a kit (on transients or in equal parts), find similar-sounding samples, batch processing.
    • DAW bridge: take a song to Ableton Live, MIDI, DAWproject or Reaper, or bring a DAW project back as a new Deluge song.
    • Live link (Windows, firmware 1.3): the card stays in the Deluge and is reached over USB; screen mirroring and live play.
    • Interface in English and French, with a built-in manual.

A few honest notes: the packages aren't signed yet, so Windows and macOS will warn you on first launch (the README explains how to get past it). The Mac and Linux builds are brand new and haven't been tried on a real machine yet, so reports from Mac and Linux users would be especially welcome.

Bug reports, ideas and questions are welcome here or on GitHub. Noctiluca is an independent project, not affiliated with Synthstrom Audible.

    Happy Deluging!
    Sébastien
