I'm very accustomed to the classic 16 pad drum layout on grooveboxes and samplers. I'd love to have this classic layout on the deluge, where my fingers can reach and play all the drum sounds at once.
It could also repeat multiple sections of 16 pads if the kit had more than 16 samples of course (similar to the vertical repeating drum rack grid in Ableton Live). But for conveying my idea, here is a mockup of a simply 16 pad kit.
(also, if the colors could be set, that would be a bonus)

@chrisroland Hmm, I am not seeing what I described in that video. The video shows the drum kit view (which I am aware of), where it displays 8 different drum samples, each taking up 16 pads per sample. This is a Deluge specific feature that spreads 8 sounds across 128 pads.
What I am wanting is more of the MPC style "classic layout on the deluge, where my fingers can reach and play all the drum sounds at once". Meaning, ONE of the 16 pad grid squares would have all 16 samples that your fingers could access easily. Check out my mockup image I attached above, it is meant to show 16 different drum samples all in a small area similar to other grooveboxes. 👍 😎
