How do I get the Torso t1 working with the Deluge?

Hello, I have a question. I have lately bought a torso t1 and I want to use it to sequence my Deluge. First I tried with the 1.2.1 firmware and managed to sequence one synth from the Deluge with the Torso, but when I tried to midi learn a bass drum in a kit the deluge learned the synth sound plus the kick. The torso sent the midi info for the synth on channel 1 and the signal for the kick on channel 2. Channel 1 was muted while the Deluge learned the kick. But the still, with every kick played, there was a synth note too. I read that there might be the firmware, so I loaded the only copy of an older version I still had, which was 3.0.0. With that only play and stop worked, but Deluge wasn't able to learn anything. I am a complete noob when it comes to midi and when I'm looking at the setings menu on the Deluge I don't understand what any of that means. check your midi MPE settings, they may have been reconfigured without you knowing and are causing the issue;
check MPE settings and make sure they're off/0: settings>midi>devices>usb(and/or din)>mpe>in (and out)>lower (and higher). make sure all four options are set to off/0.
