Envelope follower or some type of trigger from input signal?

I was wondering if there was a way to trigger an internal sample from an input signal. Similar to how an envelope follower behaves in the modular world. Is there some functionality like this?

I have one of those wooden foot-stomp things, it has a piezo mic in it. Instead of just EQ-ing that signal, I have a sample of a tympani drum that I would like to trigger whenever I stomp.

Any ideas how to do this? Aside from switching to MIDI?

    there currently is no envelope follower feature on the deluge. it has been discussed, maybe it will be a feature in the community firmware in the future.
