Remove 3rd party overlay to facilitate OLED upgrade?

Hi all,

In case a Deluge is fitted with a 3rd party overlay does it need to be removed prior to shipping for an OLED upgrade even if the glue is strong enough to hold during dissassembling and reassembling?

Can we keep the replaced electronics?

    The upgrade went flawless with the overlay attached and I got to keep the removed old display.
