Why do my touch pads keep breaking

Hi guys, i seem to have a re-occurring problem with my deluge. About 6 months ago the touchpads on the far right of my deluge became very intermittent. I would press them and they would either work or wouldnt. It seems to be back now after I already went through the whole process of dismanteling it and replacing the pads which synthstrom sent me FOC which was awesome of them!

Now I am having the same problem again with the same pads. Could it be something else more serious or do the touchpads need regular replacement?

    possibly dust, or the pads need to be re-seated to sit properly? 6months is too fast for them to go in my experience. before ordering more, try opening it up again and adjusting them back on. take a look at the back of the pads and on the board to see if you notice anything gunk. possibly flip the set of pads upside down and see if the same pad is having issues.
