Battery is done for, is it safe to still use?

I'm ordering a new 18650 so I'm trying to avoid opening up the Deluge a bunch. I don't mind staying plugged in to power until it gets here, I just don't want to potentially ruin the device by leaving a bad battery in there, if that's even possible.

    and now the last screw on the side for the chassis is starting to strip because I can't get it off lol

    FML. This thing is like a month old.

    EDIT:
    Okay the screw is out, thank goodness. I bought screw removal pliers lol. The pliers I had were crushing the screwhead. Today will get better.
