Instructions on importing WAV files by directly editing song XML?

Hello! I sometimes have lengthy audio files I'd like to add into a Deluge song, and although I know how to record audio through the normal UI, I would prefer to just plop a WAV file onto the SD card.

I tried doing this in a relatively hamfisted way by duplicating an existing audio track in a song and renaming the WAV file named with the one containing the new audio, but the new track didn't appear. I noted that there were a few settings that probably need to be tied more specifically to the WAV in question, but I wasn't sure how to generate those numbers myself.

Are there instructions anywhere on how to do this?

    Have you tried simply creating a new audio clip, entering it, then using the browse shortcut?
    You can then just navigate to the sample you put in the samples folder.
