Quickest process for backing up projects

0

As in the title, please share your way. What it covers and how it increments. Automation more than welcome.

Has anyone had projects / card content corrupted ever? In what circumstances?

I have yet to automate this but this would be a folder mirror device and picking up from Deluge right into Mega-synced folder. Probably not compressed for best clarity.

A little late to answer this, but I've been using a Mac app called Carbon Copy Cloner (not free) for many years now for things like this. I just setup an automation in that app where it does a few things:

    • If SD card not backed up within 7 days, throws a reminder
    • If SD card backed up within last 24 hours, skips backup
    • When SD card plugged into Mac, CCC automatically triggers the backup
    • It writes to a dedicate folder (I called "Latest") on my Mac internal hard drive.

CCC knows to skip files that are unchanged, so it's not copying my entire ~8Gb SD card each time it runs backup... just new stuff.

Separately, I periodically do a manual SD card backup, ZIP it and name it today's date, and store it on my external HD.

I've already accidentally overwritten one song, so I'm more focused on regular backups these days.

This is actually the best thing ever, check it out https://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/4141/deluge-backup-mac#latest

I'll check out CCC though, thanks!
