Remove 3rd party overlay to facilitate OLED upgrade?

Hi all,

Did get views but no anwer elsewhere so I'm asking here. In case a Deluge is fitted with a 3rd party overlay does it need to be removed prior to shipping for an OLED upgrade even if the glue is strong enough to hold during dissassembling and reassembling?

Can we keep the replaced electronics?

    mine went in with the oversynth overlay and came back with it, too.
