How to stop the ecording at the end of a clip?

Sorry if this question sounds trivial but I just can't figure it out. I want to record automation to a clip. I press record, then play and the recording starts. If the playhead reaches the end it loops back to the start of the clip and If I am not fast enough I override what I have already recorded. If I press the play or record the recording stops emidiatly but it's hard to time it correctly. Is there a way to make the deluge just stop recording automatically at the end of the loop?

If you're not fast enough, lower the tempo to 60 (or lower). That way you should have enough time to switch off.
Or you press the audition pad in song view and use select to set the times played from infi to 1.
