Gold knob acting erratic

Hello, my gold knob (for cutoff) has started acting erratic. My deluge is like 6 months old, using it sparingly in my free time only (which is not much :))

If I move the gold knob a little faster then it won't actually change the cutoff. But if I move it a little bit slow then it works ok. This doesn't happen on the second gold knob. Did I mishandled it? From where can I get spare parts in EU? Is it an easy fix? I have quite basic soldering skills, should I be able to do it?

Thank you.

If it is still within warranty, you might wanna contact them directly.
Or if you wanna try to change the encoder yourself, you might wanna find part: Bourns PEC16-4015F-S0024 in a store near you.

It’s not difficult. Pretty simple soldering. And if your unit is only 6 months old this will likely be covered by warranty. They should be happy to send you the replacement encoder or fix it for you, free of charge.

    Hello.
I'm having the same problem. I've been searching for said encoder in stores near me, but the closest I can find is:
    Bourns PEC16-4020F-S0024
I dont know squat about this shit. Is it close enough? No warranty. Had it for 2 years plus.

..if I had been a little more patient, I would have found it before posting here. Sorry about that. Just ordered a few from mouser. Let's hope I dont screw up the prosess, it's been a hot minute since I soldered. Pray for me.
    Peace.

Before removing and soldering a new potentiometer, it might be worth looking at this thread and simply cleaning the encoder first! https://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/comment/21716
