Deluge + Virus TI2: recording arp notes

Virus TI is connected to Deluge via MIDI DIN cables and synced as follower. I'm able fully control Virus and record automation back to Deluge MIDI tracks using MIDI IN mapping.

I would like to record Arpeggiator notes generated by Virus back to Deluge in a separate track. I have another track playing MIDI for Virus. However when I play that track and try to do MIDI learn in another it doesn't seem to learn Virus. "Arp note send" config option is ON in Virus.

Please advise.

OK. I realized I attempted to use "arp note send" in MULTI mode. It seems to work only in SINGLE mode.

My setup using a Summit instead of a Virus TI:

    • Deluge IN into Summit OUT, Deluge OUT into Summit IN.
    • Make a Deluge Midi Clip [The midi clip's channel is set to 3: my Summit's global MIDI channel]
    • Play notes in Midi Clip: Summit synth is playing without any MIDI LEARN
    • Make a new Deluge Midi Clip (This one is set to channel 1)
    • Play notes on the Summit while holding MIDI LEARN + AUDITION PADS within the MIDI clip. Audition Pads blink WHITE to confirm they're connected.
    • Turn on ARP of the Summit
    • Go to MIDI Clip Ch3, hit REC, hit PLAY, record held out notes from Deluge
    • Stop recording
    • Midi Clip Ch3 has held out notes of what it was sending to the Summit
    • Midi Clip Ch1 has the arpeggiated notes generated from the Summit
