FM Synth: 'Destination' Carrier for MOD 2 modulator, MOD1? (+Soon?)

When the Destination Carrier for MOD2 is set to the 'MOD1' value, does this mean that MOD2 modulates MOD1 or that it modulates the same Carrier as MOD1? Also, what does 'Soon' mean in E2? Is there a plan to be able to route MOD1's destination carrier independently?

    Both MOD1 and MOD2 modulate both carriers. Setting MOD2 destination to MOD1, modulates MOD1 with MOD2 and the carriers are then unaffected (directly) by MOD2.
    I’m not aware of plans to add this functionality to MOD1, tho that is what Soon would imply.
