Clicking sound when monitoring in Arranger view using Stereo. input.

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could help. In the arranger view I'm using a Stero. input source to use for input monitoring by assigning the line in Stereo. source to a track. I notice a cyclic clicking/interference sound regardless whether I have an input connected for not. Is there a way to stop this?

OK I resolved this. It seemed the mic on high gain wasn't being switched off or was interfering with the line one input. I changed the gain switch and it cleared it v strange. It's fine now on low and high gain.
