LINE IN and MIC simultaneously

When a jack cable is plugged in LINE IN it bypasses the MIC.
Would it be possible in future updates to be able to use both at the same time by adding a "MIC" option when selecting the audio source?

not 100% sure but id say its a hardware limitation, 1 stereo input
