Clip launcher mode in track view

Before having Deluge, I often worked with Ableton and an APC40 controller. I really liked overall view of all tracks, a pad contains a track, this operation mode missing me terribly.
A "Clip" or "grid" view mode for launching/mute the tracks would offer a great deal of flexibility when running live, as APC or Launchpad controllers do with Ableton, although I know it's a function of its own to ableton.
Could not it be considered in addition to the other modes of view?
