Transmitting CV clock on GAT4 when MIDI synced

Hey all, can anyone help me with this? I have the Deluge sending a trigger clock on GAT4 and syncing a modular system. I want it to continue sending this clock when it's being synced from Ableton Live over MIDI, but it won't. I'm sure it used to do this, and I can't figure out how to turn it back on. Or did it never do this, and I'm going mad?

    I've notice that the gate doesn't send a signal out if the deluge isn't playing.
