Will replacing the pads fix the problem of pads not triggering?
-
That’s a relief. Thanks!
-
I’d be grateful if you would post again here to say how the front panel installation went for you. I hope it’s not too difficult. Good luck!

@Ian_Jorgensen I see on the submission page it mentions tracks will be mastered for vinyl. Do we need to send tracks already mastered for streaming, etc., or will Synthstrom take care of that as well? I have finished mixing our submission, but I…

Good questions. We have done the same- sent the MIDI to hardware synths and the audio into Logic Pro. We tried to record the vocals straight into the Deluge but found it too difficult. So we recorded vocals into the computer, chopped them into tw…

Okay, thank you Ian.

@Ian_Jorgensen I just read through the submission form- “All samples included in this recording are mine or able to be distributed.” Is using Goldbaby 808 drum samples or similar not allowed? Or are you saying all samples must be legally obtaine…

I am totally excited.
-
I’m happy to read you’ve got a possible solution. I hope it works out.
-
The folders I mentioned are at the root. I’ve put my custom samples in a folder called USER inside the SAMPLES folder. I don’t believe the Deluge OS is picky about what you name your own folders or the folder structure of your own samples as long …

Are the included folders (KITS, SAMPLES, SONGS, SYNTHS) on your sd card as well?
-
Thank you Rohan!

That is so strange, per note automation works as expected here. I can’t imagine what is happening on your end. It doesn’t work with other cc numbers?
-
I haven’t had problems sending out ccs per note, it is working as expected here. It sounds like you have configured everything correctly, but you might run through your settings again to be sure. MIDI notes are transmitting, yes? Just not cc data?
-
haha One of those orders was mine. You did a great job demoing the Deluge at Superbooth last year. I think I’ll place an order for the top panel soon. Thanks!
-
Thanks, Ian. Apologies as I didn’t think to look at the product page for information. I am going to wait until my warranty is up (June I think) then buy a top panel and replace mine. I’m not technically minded but I am patient and organized. E…

Ian, Will replacing the top panel ourselves require any soldering or anything technical?
-
@vanklomk, Thanks for that link, I didn’t know replacement side panels were available. I’m going to get a set to sand and paint dark grey. If they turn out poorly (quite possible) I’ll still have the originals to put back.
-
I don’t know best, but this is my method- I create a folder titled DRMS, only four letters so it can be easily read on the Deluge display. I am not using any of the supplied drum samples, so I am creating all new kits. If I wanted to save the in…

Thank you for taking the time to write it all out and post it!
-
I need to be more careful to not waste my time.

“hold down a "section" pad (far right) for half a second until the section's "repeat mode" begins to blink on the Deluge's text display. By default, it will be "INFI" - infinite repeats. By turning the select knob clockwise, any number of repeats ma…

Thank you!

Excellent! Thank you for your hard work Rohan.

Why is this thread marked “answered”? I’m interested to know what that answer was since it isn’t posted. OP, did you get a PM or something?
-
Frustrating! I doubt I can help, but I wonder did you import the sample into a kit or as an oscillator? If into a kit, what were your sample settings (once, cut etc)? Does this happen with other samples of similar length? Is your sample the na…

That would be nice. I’d love a crossfade option as well.

@Vondragonnoggin, Great post! I think Rohan is brilliant, I hope he never compromises his vision.

I would imagine the software side of the Deluge to be a huge part of its value to Synthstrom. I’m not sure why a company would give that away. Personally I think Rohan is doing a fantastic job. Bugs are fixed immediately and there are regular big…
