That was really good @Will . Did you do all the sound design on the Deluge itself? There were some really nice sounds in there. Very good ambient exploration. I found myself wanting to hear some downtempo drums in there at some points. All in al…

@Ian_Jorgensen said: If you're getting clicking on a track and attack/release settings don't solve. Feel free to email us your song file and we can determine what's going on. I sent you a project xml file your enquiries address. Here a…

@Ian_Jorgensen Thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought of the LFO right away. Was the first thing I tried. I set LFO two to a square type and set it to volume. The clicking that it introduced though made it unusable. In fact it seems like any sudd…

@amiga909 said: imho it should be about what is missing from the sidechain effect as it really already is a step sequenced gater and it works already, just not optimal yet. Excellent point. So technically for me all it would take to get …

The rhythmic gating suggestion using per step automation is good but unfortunately you do get a fair bit of clicking noise which doesn't work for me. I'm going through and trying some other options. So far the only one that has worked for me has be…

I tried using a ghost note to automate parameters last night. While it does work I get a fair bit of clicks/pops like @Mafoo said so it doesn't really seem like that will work.

Also thank you @RandomAztec and @amiga909 . I forgot to mention you in there.

@amiga909 said: what do you use as sidechain source? 808 kick drum? Yes actually. I just added a kit track to put in a kick to sidechain to. I believe the default is the 808 kick. I turned down the volume on it all the way so it's not …

@Ian_Jorgensen Some great information. I'm coming from a strictly in the box setup. Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about there. The routing flexibility is truly amazing but, if I'm understanding this right, even though you a…

+1 this would be good. especially handy when you have resampled a couple things for the track you are working on.

Agreed. The fact that sidechain is available is amazing but it could certainly be improved. I'll give it a +1. I had not thought about using the sidechain as a gate effect but that totally makes sense.

@amiga909 said: there is no bypass mode per se, i mean having lpf set to full cutoff amd zero resonance Ah I gotcha. That makes sense.

I wanted to check things out completely before replying to this to make sure I had everything mapped out for what is wrong and I'm pretty sure it's something I did and not a issue so to speak. For some reason on that track I can't use sidechain. Ha…

Thanks for the reply rohan. So applying to the entire kit is an upcoming feature which is perfectly fine and I'll work around it in the meantime. However, I couldn't even add it to a single slice after using the slice feature. I'll have to mess a…

Thanks amiga909 I tried that out last night. Add just a tiny bit of saturation and the drive filter and it gets a really nice warm sound. I didn't know about bypass mode. I'll have to see if I can find that. So much to learn on the deluge.

@Will said: I agree, really not possible to get those ultra extended 'bathed in reverb' settings. In case you hadn't noticed, when you press down on the gold effect knob, with the Reverb selected, you get your choice of Small, Medium and Large re…

Yeah that's the reason I went with the deluge. So much functionality in one box and they actively bring in new features and support. There are some things that I would like to see but it does a fair bit. My biggest gripes doing ambient and downte…

That's about what I figured. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks Ian.

Hey man. I do a lot of ambient and downtempo myself and I hear what you're saying. It is a great device but I am hopeful for some changes to the fx section to give it more polish. Anyway on your first note about having no way to define a sustained…
