@Ian_Jorgensen said: Unfortunately these forums are not suitable for beta testing. I set up a private forum and road tested the usability and reporting, and it's totally inadequate. There is simply no way these forums would work. Perhaps a pla…

Thanks. I'm working on a whole kit. Getting a decent snare is proving harder.
-
This may seem a bit clunky, but you can do tempo multiplication/division by copying/changing zoom resolution/pasting.
-
Take a look at arrange mode. The paradigm is a bit different to what you are used to, but powerful in its own way.
-
I'm sure. I think it's because I reset the card in a Mac, and was trying to manipulate files in a Linux machine. OSX seems to do odd things to permissions.
-
While we are at it, what are the default owner and permissions? I have a 64gb Flashair card which worked fine until I let the Toshiba utility reset it. Now it's fine in the Deluge (I think the Deluge doesn't give a rats about permissions) but I keep…

Pure FM Kick drum. I have no idea how much you can hack out of one of these patch files before it becomes invalid.

Kick -28 0 0 -40 0 0 auto 1 1 2147483647 sine 9 …

I think you have to copy and paste.

I realise that it's a lot less elegant, but a second hand Push 1 (around $250 in NZ, so probably sub $100 in the US) will give you quite a lot of what you get from the Linnstrument. https://github.com/Carlborg/hardpush for a (not very recently upd…

Yup very limited. Except for the open source architecture (which is more powerful and is based on a Raspberry PI 3 and two Cortex M4 microprocessors as well as two small Lattice ICE40UP5K FPGAs) and software which can be modified and extended by eve…

They said in the video: 16.15 "going to beta in a month". Six weeks in beta.

I have a Deluge, and I don’t have a beard. Just saying.
-
Just a suggestion, but your idea will get more views if you summarise it in the title, rather than hoping people will click through to find out what you are talking about. “On the fly scale per track, step time division, play head speed” would do …

Sure. * Open a kit XML file. Either by putting your SD card into a computer, or by using Downrush with a Flashair card. * In that file you'll see elements. The synth/kit sound patch is the content between a and a tag. ** This is easier to…

Make sure you have your oscillators set to sine, or it won't allow you change the synth type.
-
Sure, although you may find the envelope resolution (1-50) a bit coarse for percussion sounds. Finer control is possible, but you'll have to get creative to achieve it - use MIDI to tweak the parameters, or manually edit the XML files.
-
Although pretty limited compared to the Deluge: • 16 × MIDI/Audio tracks (Machines) • up to 12 Patterns per Machine • Up to 16 Bars per pattern

@duelinmarkers said: When tweaked by a gold knob, many parameters seem to exhibit more precision than the displayed value would suggest. Does anyone know whether these more precise values are persisted with a sound? I think you are right.…

How about a cash back for the old panels? I presume they could be rescreened and used again (assuming they aren't too smashed up)?
-
While we are mucking around changing the front panel, would it be feasible to change the USB from a Female B to a USB-C?
-
I'm getting a 'Corr' message when I try and load a sample. It's not in the manual - what does it mean? The sample is a wav file with no spaces or punctuation in the filename.
-
-1 for Facebook.
-
How about tempo as a recordable parameter, but only in arrange mode? I half expected it to be there already, but just tried and it isn't.
-
This took me a while to work out too. It'd be nice to be able to add comments to the manual so omissions or Easter eggs could be noted.
-
+1 for loop visible. I think that really fits the Deluge interface logic. Loop visible with solo would be nice too. @Horstmaista said: One more thing this mode could add is that you could transpose each bar as a whole. Or transpose …

I don't use Facebook. Is there somewhere else to get hold of beta firmware?
