Kit Maker / Preset Maker
Combined with loading from folders (choose synth or kit, shift+load) these 2 progs made an enormous difference for me, I would def recommend. It turned a bunch of MPC and NI expansions into sets I can use in more HW, which is cool because working the same samples on different platforms highlights the differences in capability and workflow.

Mac will not recognize Deluge
Deluge into Logic basics from a non-logic user
At a high level:
Connect deluge USB-B to your Mac before powering it on.
Configure the Deluge as a MIDI in device in Logic.
Create a Midi track on the Deluge.
Create a track in Logic and map the incoming Midi signal.Connect:
Connect USB to the Mac before you turn the Deluge on. I'm using a hub with no problems, I've also used a USB-C to USB-B adapter directly to a Mac port. The bonus of the hub is that I'm also able to talk to and from the other USB MIDI devices directly from the Deluge. You don't need the Deluge host adapter, just go directly into the Deluge USB-B port.Check Logic's settings (v11.0.1):
Open Settings > Midi > Inputs
Make sure the Deluge IN is enabled.Create MIDI track on the Deluge (Community FW 1.1):
[Rows view] Press any pad in an empty row [Grid view] Blue + any pad in an empty column
Press MIDI, choose a channel (ex 2)Create a track in Logic and map the incoming Midi signal and enable monitoring:
Create a software instrument track your preferred method and sounds (eg Track menu > New Software Instrument or double click in the empty space under a current track, then load up Sculpture.)
Highlight the new track and expand "track" in the inspector (view > show inspector).
Settings to verify -
Default region type: MIDI
MIDI Input: Deluge IN
MIDI IN Channel: Match the one you set on the Deluge (ex 2)You should be able to highlight the track in logic, then play a note on the Deluge and have it play the instrument. Clicking the I button on the track to enable Input Monitoring will make the track always play the matching Deluge MIDI channel even when it's not selected or record enabled.
T-shooting:
Use the Mac utility Audio Midi Setup to make sure the Mac sees the Deluge and maps an in and out Midi port.- Use Window > show midi studio if the panel isn't already visible.
- On the title bar, the list icon (it's the one with 3 dots and 3 lines) makes it easier to browse devices.
- You should see the Deluge in the Interfaces section;
- Double click the Entry to open the details, it should have an entry for ports, there should be 1 in and 1 out, and at least in my case I can't edit any settings other than the icon.
- If you expand the list instead of viewing the details, it might not list the outbound port.
- If you don't see it in the interfaces section, first power it off then on, next try replacing the usb cable and try different Mac ports or without a hub, etc.
