I just listened again and love it even more. I love how it gets slightly more chromatic after the first 30 seconds, then the quick marimba runs later on are a major smile inducer!
And the final note sounds like a 'good ending' from a 16-bit beat-em-up.

Thanks! I use odd scales and timbres a lot as a creative constraint/inspiration, of course then its a challenge to make it sound appealing. I think this track is closer to a normal major key than most things I've done.
