Those definitely look great. Same with the Electribe and Boutique overlays. I need to get me one for my Electribe 2, jx 03, and jp 08, plus the Deluge complete.

Ian, Any chance we could get a good picture of how an overlay looks on the Deluge?

You guys rock. Great news. Looks like 3.0 is going to be full of amazing improvements to an already awesome machine. That is a lot of bonuses over the 1.4 version I bought. Thanks!

@highstandards said: Looks like Gotharman's Tiny LD could be a decent companion: 16 part, 8 stereo voices tiny granular music workstation, with synthesizes, samplers, sequencer, granular effects and analog filter and CV options. …

This is great. Many thanks!

Dave Smith used the same vco’s and vcf’s in the prophet 5. Interesting. OB-xa uses them also.

From the description of the 3340 vco and the 4 pole OTA vcf, this sounds like a portable Prophet synth. Very nice.

Maybe last update? What versions are you running. Mine has been out of balance since 2.1.1 update. On 2.1.2 now and will try 2.1.3 tonight.

Corr - corrupt? In the first post, I believe you need a kits directory to save a kit into. It’s not automatically saved as a browsable kit. It will be per song unless you save as a kit. In the second example it might be just a corrupt sample o…

@autumnWheat said: You might have to create a kit with the samples you want to trigger and manually enter it and trigger them that way, in the track view. Of course I might be missing out on a better way to do that. That’s how I do it. Al…

Nice. Makes me think the deluge needs some stap locks and a good strap.

Fast read times from sd card Ease of creating sample kits and sequencing samples Ease of polyrhythm and conditional sequencing on external gear

If you can format the whole card fat32 it might work. My problem when I tried to format cards larger than 32gb as fat32 was that windows no longer sees it correctly. My 128gb card showed the usage of 60gb when I loaded 60gb of samples on it, but it …

Sure. You can do all that with the Deluge. Deluge has stereo outs though. TR8S has multiple outs and you can individually assign out drum sounds. A bit more flexibility with Squarp + TR8S. Squarp has polyrhythmic capabilities and so does the Deluge,…

They are up to 2.1.3 now

I am keeping my setup small. I use a Virus Ti I bought used to cover additional synth sounds and have accumulated a large collection of samples over the years. I picked some of my favorite samples and bought some new sample packs for vintage drum ma…

127mb? Have full songs mixed down to 16/44.1 stereo wav that are smaller than that. You said previously it is 9 minutes long. That is an audio track not a sample. Not saying it can’t be done, but maybe cutting it up and sequencing it would be mo…

Rohan already weighed in on this in another thread asking about it. No plans for open source until they are completely done with their own succession of updates and have a “final” version. Then they might think about it but nothing definite yet.

If it’s triggering midi tracks all at once then it sounds like your controller is set to transmit on all midi channels. What happens if you set the controller for a single midi channel?
-
It’s my understanding that yes, you can hook up an external keyboard and record midi notes with it, but I have not done so since version 1.4 because of the way they implemented the midi learn per track. It does not automatically become the fixed foc…

While I don’t think an OLED display is critical, it would be welcome to have more information displayed for browsing samples, parameter info, modes displayed, labeling tracks, etc Right now I’m resorting to naming multi’s on my Virus and Nord Lea…

Wow. Great stuff there. All great tracks. In order liked: Dreaming Giant ( ) Attic Flowers ( ) Stellar Dust ( )

The Deluge’s largest appeal for me was the 128 pad grid. That thing reminds of something like a Sampletank in a box.

Did the sample cutoff in time with other longest track looping? How long was the sample play time as a wav? Did you try cutting it into a few samples for performance after coming to this limitation? Probably if you send the relevant song xm…

I like the style. When I first started making electronic music I pretty much just stayed in the industrial genre (circa 1997 for my first pieces of electronic gear other than guitar and amps/fx pedals) Have branched out a bit since then but will alw…
