True, fairly different. It seems designed to be played by MIDI controller. Also, that UI looks very awkward.
-
Clever, looping it. ^ But that doesn't enter it into the sequence as notes. I thought about using the arp also (and included it in the drum patches I made for v2.0!) but a local arp is not global, and also can't enter into the sequence as notes i…

Yeah, I was thinking horizontal, and they would be the very same place the tracks are in the sequencer. You'd switch the view mode back and forth at will.
-
I figured it out eventually. In the settings, make sure the Track 3 and 4 are set to VTrig Then make a Kit, Hold the preview pad, then Tap the CV Button ( does manual mention this? ) then you see Gate 3, turn the lower gold knob to set that to a…

I have a similar vintage analog Drum Machine here, but I haven't been able to get gates 3 and 4 working. Does anyone have a video showing the process? I'm following what the manual says, but it's not working as expected. Really, I would wish to…

Possible answer - sync up a Volca by midi, and use it's Clock out?
-
Rather than a Track being either a Synth OR a MIDI, I would prefer you could do both! As it is on most other devices, each channel also has a specified MIDI out, or "none". Because the Deluge is more portable than the other synths, you might tak…

Somebody posted somewhere - increase the Velocity of the Note that is playing the Audio In, and extra volume may be added! ( I didn't think of this because I don't really use velocity. )
-
^ Looks like Evil Brother of OP1 ; - ) Sounds... like a gameboy so far.
-
"Think of 3 notes, and then don't play them." - Miles Davis. I still wish for this fix! So I can program all kinds of weird drum solo parts, and have them stay locked! It CAN work.
-
Yes. Notice voice processor to the left? ; - ) That was the the VE5, which is hard to edit, and still too quiet. I've now got connected the VT3, which is a lot easier to use. I like the idea of being able to use the tempo delay and other fe…

The FX are good so far, and sound "clean" - but it'd be good to have more FX types and edit parameters! Also, some more distortion and other "noisy" options. When using the audio in, it sometimes can't be loud enough? Maybe a "clean boost" migh…

This opens the way for some really excellent sample sets! With the Auto Pitch, should be fairly easy to make. Also - What about dropping a set of drum samples into it? If sorted by pitch, that could still be useful. ( Perhaps more so than the K…

Here's another disussion video I made, with the Global Arpeggiator of the Electribe EMX, which is truly useful if you you know what to do with it! ( The Electribe ESX and EMX were my previous "go to" grooveboxes, but got the Deluge to go beyond the…

OK, that's interesting! But it doesn't work on drum kits without a lot of MIDI Learn-ing. Also, it uses up the MIDI port, which you might like for other gear.
-
Another example. It'd be useful to have more Delay parameters to work with to get the right sound!
-
Interesting. I've wanted to do this for A e s t h e t i c reasons also. Perhaps a different way to select ALL colors, instead of just the first few?
-
Here was what I did at the Deluge Demo / Meetup in LA! Using Deluge and RC505, but how great would it be to use only Deluge, and get a lot more than 5 loops going?
-
All yes, 3 yes,use MIDI learn mode as above. ( or just use the Pitch knob on Deluge, it's meant to be a Sequencer as much as anything else. ) but 5, maybe? See my YT video on Drum Synthesis, btw! If you want to use more than samples.
-
This is all stock samples, and a fairly basic pattern. I have noticed this can happen in any sequence, when you use Shift-Change Color in the middle of a bar instead of at the end of it. It must be the way it is programmed, and I believe it wo…

Also note Kaoss Pad 3 for a "hardware looping" reference. Particularly, see 4:12 ( loop editing )
-
Listen Clooosely - it will play some drums slightly late sometimes when switching. Better to NOT play a drum than have it play offbeat, that's a slight "trainwreck"
-
For comparison, see in this video: 10:25 Solo Mode ( and 9:25 "Bounce Mode" ) When I write a hit song using Deluge, maybe they will implement global Note Repeat? ; - )

^ what is happening here?
-
Something like this would be good. Anything to get me TITLES for songs! I think I might prefer Taller letters, a knob is okay for naming things once you get used to it
-
It occurs to me that each saved Song should have it's own Default Stutter value, that could be set by the user to the spacing that is the most useful for that particular song structure. ( It might be 1/16, or 1/4 or whatever. )
-
Yes, G.Drive. I've used them now, great sonic memories. I notice that it takes a long time to load them, and a long time to save a Song containing them. I guess this is because each contains so many individual samples? I expect one way to spee…

In the dark, I accidentally saved over several paterns, thinking I was using the Load button. ( Lucky I had backed up the SD Card recently! So they can be restored. ) Perhaps a warning of "SAV?" and another button press, if one is about to Save…

I will try it tonight! I had an okay time using the Learn Button to link MIDI channels on the Tenori On, so check the manual for how to do that, it does make sense. Just remember - the Electribe 2 naturally maps it's 16 buttons to the 16 MIDI c…

It was a great feature on Electribe 2! I used it a lot for making the "album version" of my tracks. Each Track becomes a WAV, and it even wrote a basic .ALS file with them all lined up. Deluge sequences could get much more complicated than Elec…
