Being able to edit sound in kit keyboard view could be handy too, and why not pad color!
-
All kit sounds at reach in 1x1, loving it! One obvious improvement imho that I have been wishing forever is the ability to jump from one kit sound to another while editing without leaving editing, e.g. setting reverse playback of one kit sound by…

Automation recording of notes mute and kit rows mute would open a world of live variation creation. Deletion of automation could simply be done like any gold knob parameters automation: shift + mute pad. I hope this feature will see the day.
-
Cool! Can’t wait to try! I wonder how feasible this could be done with live audio instead of prerecorded samples.
-
That is excellent!! One thing that I’ve been wishing since day one is the ability to play chromatically in kit mode. I guess that modulating transpose with velocity would do the trick. Also, could we: * allow doubling of sequence in keyboard …

Wow! What can we do with those slices? Can we sequence them on the grid like kit tracks? How does this work?
-
There is a god! 😄 Thanks @seangoodvibes!!
-
Then call it a step sequencer.

Nice feature. I think this feature could be expanded to assign a random synth patch to a row, from user synth preset bank on Deluge or a totally randomized one. Being able to access synth presets and assign one to a kit row is a must.
-
Does humanize « humanize » a new humanized value every time a note plays? Is it static/applied once or is it dynamic?
-
What about a LFO designer on the grid?
-
Some cool features that come to mind seeing this: * per automation lane length. * Automation linked/stored to/in note row and is muted/unmuted with note (store automation on empty row), with a led feedback indication on audition row. * Fine t…

Loading synth presets in a kit from the synth preset bank is definitely one feature that should not be that hard to implement imho and it would be a load of fun. Open source dev?!

Mine took around 6 weeks.

I contacted Ian and he told me they received my unit but found some failing resistor in it so they wait for parts to repair it. No reason to worry after all. 😎
-
Damn… still no news here.
-
Thanks @janbert
-
@janbert Did they contact you to let you know they received your Deluge and/or that they shipped it back to you? I am in Montréal which is way closer to Toronto than Vancouver is, but still no news whatsoever.

Had finaly some times yesterday to try my good old logidy UMI3 foot switch with looper commands... same issu as mentionned above unfortunately, bummer!! The pedal works just fine with macbook and ipad, and it is my only midi device so far that do…

The Deluge développement focus seems to lean toward "song writing" and long compositions and it makes sense. I really hope that we'll see more "live clip/loop mangling" kind of features eventually. To me, the Deluge screams for it!
-
@Icoustik said: You can achieve this by just using multiple kit clips. One for each sound if you want to. There's no limit to amount of clips - this is one of the uses for that And they also will have their own mutepads, which is nice. In…

@amiga909 said: do you mean something like this http://forums.synthstrom.com/discussion/899/step-automation-view-automation-drawing-track-long-envelope-drawing or something else? Indeed, I started the thread 😉! In the same spirit for thi…

Thanks @pbolger, I knew the trick, but it is more work than flow so I keep dreaming of a more direct and versatile way!
-
Even better implementation: Holding down the tempo knob switch to tempo view. Each track row has 2 lighted pad at the center meaning the tempo isn’t multiplied or divided. Selecting a pad on the right multiply the clock per step, selecting a pad …

This would make creating a synth kit a breeze!
-
Totally! And even either track start or horizontal shift! Why not add playhead speed and direction on top of that! And active steps, and step mute, and ratchet and... Got carried away here but I see what you mean. This grid is quite inspiring!
-
That is a good idea! Oh wait! Was mine 🤦♂️

I like this idea.
