I always make a track like 4x as long as I need it and just start playing when it sounds right and shift it all back to the start afterwards.

I don't see anything in that thread about this...

I use one of these, it works perfectly. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PSA120S--roland-psa-120s

Considering the only way we have to correct the timing of a note is to delete it and re-add it. The way it works now since 2.0 makes a lot of sense.

Love it. I've got a DX7 on loan, a TX81Z, a Reface DX, and the Deluge and all 3 of them have their own character. The Deluge's FM engine reminds me a lot of the old Adlib/OPL3 sound of 90s PC sound cards and arcade machines with modern digital c…

@Ian_Jorgensen said: Yes, all Deluge's shipping from now ship with the 2.0 manual, whenever we release a new firmware update, we also update the manual and ship with orders from then. I was going to buy a printed copy, but it says out of …

+1 I have hardware synths with that I use for long release pads for this reason.

I use mine to replace Seq24, Renoise, and get the PC out of my way of playing all this gear I've had for 13 years. I love both of those pieces of software, but I got sick of constantly troubleshooting latency, sync, and compatibility issues cause…

Doesn't this basically work by eating up a whole MIDI channel for each note so that CCs and pitch bends only apply to that note?

Sort of like an inverse "SHAR" mode? Where instead of specifying that launching this section does not mute others, specify that other sections launching does not mute this one.

@p_wats said: Doesn't it do this already if you select a scale and root note? The pads change to reflect the key/scale you've selected. No, it just lights them up if they're in the scale. They're still there and you can still play every n…

Basically add the right-hand shortcut list of modulation sources to MIDI tracks and allow patching to CC. This would also allow people to use the sidechain on external gear. (Most synths respond to CC#7, Exp Pedal/Volume)

@Vondragonnoggin said: Midi is pretty low overhead even for converted devices that were manufactured pre-midi. Unless you run really long cable runs, you shouldn’t have noticeable latency driving them directly from the Deluge. Some HW syn…

I've got one of these. It has a generic MIDI CC mode and you can "Learn" those on the Deluge.

Some controllers have a built-in merge. If that's the case, you can daisy-chain them. My old Encore Knobby does this. Works great.
-
Thanks for that! I'd just found it an hour ago by going back through the manual.

I don't care if it's the "Learn" button or not, but a way to start playback with the cursor from an arbitrary place in a track would be very helpful to me. Even just from the beginning of the current view. I write some long melody tracks and havi…
